Byram Township Real Estate Analysis

Jump To:

Byram Township, “The Township of Lakes”, was established on February 5, 1798, having been separated from Newton; it is said that the ancestors of the Lenape Indians were the first inhabitants.   Byram’s proximity to both routes 80 and 206 helped increase the population of the township, which spans 22.48 miles, is home to over 8,400 residents and boasts over two dozen lakes and ponds. Waterloo Village is a National Historic Site located in Byram Sitting on the banks of the Musconectcong River in the Allamuchy Mountain State Park; a restored history village you may tour Victorian homes, a blacksmith shop, grist and saw mill, the re-created Lenape Indian Village and enjoy music and ethnic festivals, historic programs, antiques and craft shows offered throughout the year.
